  • The position of Part-time and/or Full-time employee requires that the employee be able to correctly and accurately dispense change and count money. The employee must also be able to move video games (weight approximately 350 lbs.), and should be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. In general, the employee will be required to clean a minimum of 2 games during each shift. This will include vacuuming the bottom and dusting the tops of all games. The employee must also be proficient in assisting customers with problems and other concerns. Employees are expected to answer to telephone in a clear and concise manner. Employees must be able to safely use a ladder. All employees should be Interested In career advancement and be willing to possibly re-locate.
  • The position of Assistant Manager requires that the employee be able to correctly and accurately dispense change and count money. The employee must also be able to move video games (weight approximately 350 lbs.), and should be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. In general, the employee will be required to clean a minimum of 2 games during each shift. This will include vacuuming the bottom and dusting the tops of all games. The Assistant Manager must be proficient in the use of a calculator, and must also be able to use a computer. The employee must be able to manage difficult situations and be able to manage people. An employee in the position of Assistant Manager should be positively motivated and exhibit a willing desire to learn. The employee must also be able to move video games (weight approximately 350 lbs.), and should be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. In general, the employee will be required to clean a minimum of 2 games during each shift. This will include vacuuming the bottom and dusting the tops of all games. The employee must also be proficient in assisting customers with problems and other concerns. Employees are expected to answer the telephone in a clear and concise manner. Employees must be able to safely use a ladder. All employees should be interested in career advancement and be willing to possibly re-locate. The Store/Shift Manager must be able to properly audit and order merchandise. The employee will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment and/or be able to properly assess the status of equipment to determine the level of repair needed. The employee must be able to properly and accurately control store operating funds. In addition, the employee will be responsible for hiring, terminating, evaluating and scheduling subordinate employees. A Store/Shift Manager must have a reliable, independent means of transportation in order to transport deposits to the bank and deliver change to the store. An employee in the position of Store/Shift Manager should be positively motivated and exhibit a willing desire to learn. The position of Store Manager / Shift Manager may be subject to a background check at Nickels and Dimes Incorporated’s discretion. Additionally, the General Manager must be able to handle promotion of special events and parties. Employees are expected to answer the telephone in a clear and concise manner. Employees must be able to safely use a ladder. All employees should be interested in career advancement and be willing to possibly re-locate. The General Manager must be proficient in the use of a calculator, and must also be able to use a computer. The employee must be able to manage difficult situations and be able to manage people. The General Manager must be able to properly audit and order merchandise.     EMPLOYEE SHIFT DUTIES

    MUST work entire shift – no lag time
    Employee must be clocked in/out for ALL shifts

    EMPLOYEE ATTIRE

    MUST be in proper company uniform (bib apron)– cannot clock in if not in uniform
    Sleeved shirts with NO logos/printing/advertising front or back unless a TILT shirt
    Solid colored pants/jeans, dress or walking shorts
    NO frayed, unhemmed, torn, raveled or ripped clothing allowed
    Shirts must meet pants – no skin showing
    Must wear closed-toed shoes, No Sandals or Flip-flops allowed
    NO Hats, caps, scarves, bandanas, do-rags for head gear of head covering (can apply for religious exceptions)
    NO faddish or controversial hairstyles, hair-color and/or makeup, must be neat, conservative, businesslike and professional
    Hair/Facial Hair must be clean and neatly trimmed

    PIERCINGS, TATTOOS, AND BODY ART

    Ear piercings: Women may wear two matched or complimentary earrings per ear.
    NO other visible facial piercings or facial jewelry such as lip rings, tongue studs, eyebrow rings, nose rings, or dental ornamentation (gold, silver, jeweled, initialed) etc. are allowed
    Tattoos, Body piercing and body art are to be covered while on or off duty while on company property. Any body piercing or body art that cannot be covered or concealed is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to; foreign objects inserted under the skin, pierced, split or forked tongue, and/or stretched out holes in the ears.

    EMPLOYEE GAME PLAYING

    NO Game playing allowed while on duty.
    Employees are not to give away unauthorized credits to anyone at anytime.
    Employees are not to play any plush or redemption games at any time on or off duty.
    Employees also may not stay after closing time to play games.

    CHECK CASHING and BORROWING

    No check cashing (employee payroll/personal, customer) allowed
    Employees are not allowed to borrow money or company equipment – subject to immediate dismissal

    CELL PHONES AND PERSONAL ELECTRONICS

    Employees are not allowed to carry or use cell phones and/or pagers, while on duty on the store floors.
    Employees are not allowed to carry, possess, or bring onto Company or Mall Property; personal laptops, tablets, or personal electronic devices (including, but not limited to CD players, DVD players, PDA’s, hand held video games etc.) at anytime while on duty.

    SMOKING POLICY

    Company policy prohibits smoking, vaping, electronic cigarettes, at any time while on or off duty on Company property, i.e. in the store, store office, storage rooms, etc. This includes outside the store, outside mall entrance, back doors, mall hallways etc.

    EMPLOYEE BEHAVIOR

    Employees are to behave in a professional manor at all times while on duty or on company property
    NO profane or abusive language while on duty
    Employees are not allowed to sleep while on duty.
    Employees must not engage in or participate in horseplay or kidding around
    No socializing with family or friends while on duty.
    No reading of any type of materials while on duty – no homework/projects

    PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP SUPERVISION

    Employees must not supervise or be supervised by, either directly or indirectly, any employee with whom the employee is related or involved.

    SEXUAL HARASSMENT, DISCRIMINATION AND SEXUAL ACTS (Violators of any these policies will be discharged immediately.)

    Sexual harassment is illegal and is not tolerated by Nickels and Dimes Incorporated. Employees must not engage in or participate in harassment or discrimination of any nature against or towards employees or customers.
    This includes conversations, jokes, insinuations etc.
    Employees must have no physical contact of any type with other employees, customers, or non-customers while in the Company store regardless if the employee is on duty or not. This would include but is not limited to hugging, touching, kissing, massaging, handholding, etc.
    At no time are employees of Nickels and Dimes Incorporated allowed to have, perform, or engage in any type of sexual relations, sexual acts, sexual deeds, or sex while in or on Nickels and Dimes Incorporated property or while on duty in any capacity for Nickels and Dimes Incorporated.

    PETS AND/OR ANIMALS

    Employees are not allowed to have or bring pets or animals on to Company property.

    ALCOHOL, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES AND WEAPONS

    Employees may not manufacture, dispense, possess, use, distribute, or be under the influence of any controlled substance or alcohol while on duty or while on Company property. Employees are not allowed to bring, carry, or possess weapons of any kind while on Company property.

    NEWS MEDIA

    If any member of the news media approaches you, you must contact the Home Office for authorization to speak with the media. Do not engage in any conversation or answer any questions about the Company, the Company procedures, Company equipment, or Company policies with any media organization. Forward all such inquiries to the Home Office. Photographs or videos of a Company store or its machines and interviewing of employees are not allowed, except when authorized by the Home Office.
